Field Notes

Description:

This small noctuid moth had a wing span of about 25 mm. Wings were a mix of brown and moss green, with two distinct brown patterns on each fore wing. A low profile tuft of setae was seen on the thorax. Labial palps appeared short, feathery and reflexed (pic2).

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve

Notes:

It's a pity I did not get to see the hind wings, supposed to be white with brown margins.

family: Noctuidae
Subfamily: Amphipyrinae <br>
