Thank you LornaSankey. I thought it was a lacewing but was unsure....I'm in Australia :)
looks like a lacewing. they're great in the garden as the larva eat aphids! we have them in the uk but they hibernate during the winter, so i'm always disturbing them from their hiding places in the polytunnel.
