Description:

Brigantiaea, Polycauliona luteominia, or Blastenia crenularia? Orange apothecia with white thallus

Habitat:

Found on maple at the Crystal River Archaeological State Park

That post was shortened I was going to say oh cool because I think I found that one today
Thanks Brian! I was torn between a few species but that one seems to have vouchered specimens from Ocala so I think I'll tentatively label it with that species. I might have to go take a sample and send it to an herbarium because I am so curious

Hi Chris, you have to drag and drop the pin on the map to get it to the correct location if it doesn't pick up the metadata from the photos.
Polycauliona luteominia or Blastenia crenularia. Niether have any collecitons curated anywhere from Florida but that can be accounted for because most of these crusts have not been studied hard in Fl. I have also documented it on Eglin Air Force Base but i cannot figure out how to post it with the location! this site is confusing
