Field Notes

Description:

Robin-sized bird, nearly all gray with black cap as shown.

Habitat:

In tree along a riparian corridor through shortgrass prairie habitat. Sand Creek runs nearly dry most of the year, but is flanked in places by dense willow and cottonwood thickets.
