Thank you! The source I found last night showed a butterfly that looked more like a gulf fritillary, but darker and with different wing veining
It is the other one. Claudia should have a median line on the hindwing. Your hindwings are "empty", meaning there is no dark line in the middle of the hindwing, so it is the Mexican Fritillary, Euptoieta hegesia.
