Field Notes

Description:

this little one had a black and white striped breast, greenish coloured wing feathers and a brown head.

Habitat:

Path beside a river along mixed habitat, of mangroves, rainforest & open grassland.

Notes:

Not 100% certain this is a Golden Bronze Cuccoo, Chrysococcyx ludicus plagosus. I looked through the books of Australian birds and this was the only one I found with a crosswise black and white stripped chest. Would love some confirmation.
Photo not so good, but I was intrigued by this bird and it only stayed a very short time.
