Description:

Large concentration of mushrooms growing from rotting log in redwood forest. The clump of mushrooms are growing from the left end of the top of the fallen log.

looks like "ink caps", take a look for "coprinellus micaceus" or "coprinellus truncorum", both are very similiar (they have little features, when your are lucky, those stand out : trucorum has the brighter stem.But thats no real point to distinguish them,just a bridge. When the specimen are older or just dirty, is't get more difficult again) look which one is more common in your area
