Field Notes

Description:

Yellow hoverfly with vertical stripes on eyes and horizontal brown stripes on abdomen. It never landed so this series is in flight.

Habitat:

Hovering around Lemon and Pomelo trees in orchard. "Portugal, Spain and around the Mediterranean, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, North Africa, The Canary Islands, The Caucasus, Eastern parts of Afrotropical region to South Africa, Nepal Northern Pakistan and Northern India, Iran. Introduced to Parts of North America (California and Florida)." - Wikipedia

Notes:

Manual focus on a moving object. Ugh, I need practice but was happy that I could see details enough for ID :)
