Field Notes

Description:

This tiny Spider with body size of less than 1 cm was seen on a privately owned Island in Maldives, during my dive trip when we went down to an Island for a Barbecue dinner.

Habitat:

Bushes in a tropical island

Notes:

I was given the ID of Comb-Footed Spider - Rhomphaea sp, by PN Ranger, Chun Xing Wong who is an expert in Spiders. According to him, there are no records of Spiders from this genus in Maldives so far. So this could be either an introduced species or a new native species!
