Field Notes

Description:

bracket
3 groupings
2 small ones of 6.5 cm wide and 5.5 cm wide
the other larger, sort of 2 ridges
12 cm wide on top ridge,
bottom 7 cm wide cm at base brown
woody hard not maleable at all
orangish on inside
0.4 cm pore holes on smaller one,
1 cm pore holes on larger one

Habitat:

Stump. Water oak tree I believe? unsure though.

Notes:

found a fungi called Cracked-cap Polypore
seems to be very similar. 476
Phellinus rimosus
All the pictures online don't completely match. However it could be a younger, uncracked version?
