Description:

This is a medium-sized dove about 31 cm (12 in) in length. The legs are red/pink. The beak is short and dark. Feathers are generally light gray-brown. The wings are decorated with black spotting and the outer tail feathers are white.

Habitat:

Mourning doves are most often found in open and semi-open areas, including farms, suburban yards and other lightly wooded places. They feed extensively in agricultural areas and are often found around developed areas versus wilderness.
