Description:

These hoverflies have a striking ivory-white band across its middle and large dark spots on its wings. The fly is about 17 mm in length with a wing length about 15 mm. It's shape and size are very bumblebee-like.

Habitat:

Forest edge on a thistle.

Notes:

Norwegian name: H⁠vitbåndet humleblomsterflue
