Description:
MACROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION:
- Hat: Ovoid 2 to 4 cm in diameter that evolves to campanulate. Ribbed and fluted longitudinally. Brown in color with a darker apex that degrades to the perimeter. It is covered with remnants of the universal veil like whitish ocher grains. Margin, striated, irregular, curved flat.
- Blades: Free, narrow, white, then gray and that turn black due to the maturation of the spores and are deliquescent.
- Foot: Cylindrical 4-10 high by 0.1-0.3 cm. radio. White, bulbous, silky and ringless.
- Meat: Thin, scarce. No appreciable smell or taste.
Habitat:
They generally appear in groups on stumps or decayed wood debris. It is saprophytic and fructifies in numerous groups, in a fasciculate manner, from spring to autumn.
