Field Notes

Description:

These species has a light to dark brown with white white-striped in the center of the wing to form a V shape, it is a nocturnal moth It is usually attracted to bright lights in urban areas it can be seen in the homes and offices.The moth has a wingspan of 100–160 mm. It is most abundant from June to November depending on the location.

Habitat:

It can be found from Himalaya to Borneo and the Malay Peninsula,also they can be found as high as 2,600 metres on Gunung Kinabalu, Sabah and Philippines.

Notes:

The larvae feed on Endospermum and other members of the rubber tree family (Euphorbiaceae).

I found these moth in the middle of the downtown area at around 7:30 in the evening.
