Description:

Mattia callidaria (Geometridae) inhabits open and often grazed habitats, especially the Mediterranean garigue with occurrence of the host plant. The larva feeds on Sarcopoterium spinosum (Rosaceae) . The pictured moth was spotted in Nea Demetrias, Volos city, Greece.
