The Yellow Admiral or Australian Admiral (Vanessa itea) is a butterfly native to Australia, New Zealand, Lord Howe, and Norfolk Islands.

Habitat:

Urban garden bordering on native coastal bush

Notes:

Being a long lived butterfly, they often end up with damaged wing-tips.
