•Underparts barred reddish.
•Pale crescent near wingtips in flight.

Coastal chaparral and oak woodlands

Wow! Perfect timing.
Thank you all. This pair did quite a lot of vocalizing before the male flew in and mated with her. I was already shooting photos of her when it got more exciting. They sure weren't keeping things a secret!
