Field Notes

Description:

Eastern Comma Butterfly sunning itself at midday.

Habitat:

Found in and open gravel parking area surrounded by forested area and right by a lake.

Notes:

I unfortunately did not get a picture, or more than a quick view of the underside of the butterfly, which would have been helpful for quicker identification of a Comma Butterfly.
