Perhaps a Tropical sage.... What do you think?
I saw this plant in a park..
Cindy and Seems any idea what this is? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8691215
There are so any species around. Squirrels ,blue jays to name a few have so many different kinds. i was equally surprised to find out that earthworms have more than 100 species at least. Right now I am working on grasses ,thistles and weeds.
I used the wrong words. I meant if it was Wild, not native. My best resources are on local plants :) The flowers look like Fuchsia but the native one's in her county have different leaves. Here's an example http://www.calflora.org/cgi-bin/species_query.cgi?where-calrecnum=2985
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6390940 Looks a little like this. However my spotting does not have leaves. So there is no way of comparing. True Cindy knowing a little about where it was found does help in Identification! though sometimes whether they are native or not can be hard to decide until you actually identify it!! Everything is so interdependent!
That was my first thought but the leaves looked different. I didn't want to really dig until I know if it's native or not.
This looks like California Fushia.
Seema, where was this plant? Was it growing wild along a trail or in a residential area?
