Description:

The thin red spiny projections catch the eye. Caterpillar is colourful. Yellow dark brown and black.

Habitat:

Kolakham is about 4 hours drive from Siliguri, West Bengal, India. It is a hilly remote area in Neora Valley.This caterpillar was spotted on the hillside as I was walking down the road from the resort we stayed in. The last photo shows the exact habitat. If you squint really hard you can see the caterpillar too.
