Field Notes

Description:

Yellow-orange, darker on upper half, with a black patch around its eyes. Diagonal lines across body. Up to 8 inches. Typically occurs as solitary animals or as pairs.

Habitat:

Marine - corals; Red Sea only
Spotted at the Three Pools dive site.

Notes:

Carnivorous. Seen here having a munch on a Common Jellyfish (Aurelia aurita)
