Description:

The main distinguishing factor with the Boisduval's blue is it has mainly black spots on the forewing and mainly white spots on the hindwing.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Cascade foothills near Cle Elum, Wa.

Notes:

Larvae feed on species of lupines. Their range extends throughout the western US and Canada from southern Saskatchewan to British Columbia.
