Field Notes

Description:

A typical European garden spider. The female can get up to 18 mm, and the male half as big.
They build their webs close to the ground, but don't sit in it themselves. They make a line to it instead and wait for the vibrations of their caught prays.

Habitat:

Gardens and woods in Europe and Asia.

Notes:

These evil b******s make a living in cathing my bees. I've told them to start catching houseflies instead and leave my bees alone, but they just won't listen. And there are plenty of them in my garden.
