Field Notes

Description:

can see this butterfly on wings mostly during dry season in our region (March to September) . The sexes are the same in pattern and the caterpillar is black with silver spots all over the body and fine branched spines.

Habitat:

I ussually find them near thye area where there is an abundace of their host plants - in open grass lands and cultivated lands.

Notes:

This butterfly has a strong gliding flight.
