Red Eared Slider { Female}

I saw this turtle at a local pond. A little girl had caught him in her net .i was able to observe the markings under the turtle.this turtle did not have red ears.
The little girl said that this was a Western painted turtle. She said that they released the turtles back in the water after their mom fed it cray fish.
