Description:

Small brown/black moth with brown, light brown/buff markings.

Habitat:

This moth was found resting on a window in our backyard.

Range includes North America from Canada to Texas. Larvae feeds on plants such as alfalfa, soybeans, clover, and weeds.

Notes:

Fun Facts: 1. This moth is often confused for a looper moth. 2. Larvae can be a pest to soybean crops. 3. The larvae vigorously wriggle when disturbed.
