Description:
Turkey Tail Fungus covering a host tree it is feeding on and helping to decompose. It is known for its distinct rings and similarity to a turkey's tail as well as being highly variable in color.
Habitat:
Found growing densely on a fallen and cut up oak tree on top of a bluff where there was a hole in the tree cover allowing abundant light through.
