Field Notes

Description:

Small dark brown frog ~ 25 mm long with dark yellowish mottling and lighter colored underside.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood on tropical upland plateau.

Notes:

Spotted dead in my back yard the the early morning; not noted the prior evening. The images are of course staged. The first image was recorded using flash, the other two without. I was afraid I had found an invasive Coqui Frog (Eleutherodactylus coqui Thomas), but a call to the local pest control provided the actual identification.
