So a circle is closed. Thank you very much, EarlyStages and Bayucca, for all the guidance I had. This is a landmark for me, just one year ago I didn't dreamed that I'd go so far in this game. Now, spring is coming, maybe I'll have one or two surprises ahead...
Look at those antennas! (or whatever you call it)
Dominik, I too cannot always reliably distinguish Callicore from Diaethria larvae. But I do have the advantage of 25+ years of rearing experience and a world-class reference library devoted to butterfly immature stages.
Wow! This day I'm also saw the caterpillar has "antennae" like structure. And, this one is amazing!
Thank you so much Keith, it was a real lesson to me. And thank you too Bayucca.
And at least they are both very close... I can't separate Callicore and Diaethria caterpillars.

Great one.. Amazing creature..!!
Keith, if you are talking about the e-mail you sent me Feb 25, Yes, I received it and answered the same day. I'll post it again, in case it didn't reach you.
Very similar, but I don't think a Callicore. Sérgio, did you receive my email request for more data?
Well Bayucca, those horns are very distinctive. It seems that Callicore is a good shot. Keith is working on it, so I hope he will bring more to this.
Nymphalidae, Callicore sp., for me not possible to get closer. I am wondering what Keith would say. http://janzen.sas.upenn.edu/Wadults/photopage.lasso?photocode%20dotj=DHJ69841.j http://www.treknature.com/gallery/South_America/Brazil/photo181250.htm
rofl, Sergio - you made my day :)
haha :) forgot about that you got thousands of ammo, Sergio :)
This is not a daily quiz, it is just a caterpillar !!!!! :-)
Awesome one, Sergio - goddamn :) But why are you shooting out all your "Daily Quizzes" at one day? ;)
