Field Notes

Description:

Avisas bastante grandes (de unos 5 cm de largo). / These wasps were quite big (round 5 cm long), with a bright yellow.

Habitat:

Tenían su nido en el interior del tronco de un árbol. / They had their nest in the trunk of a tree.

Notes:

No idea about the species it could be, but I think it could be the invasive species Vespa mandarinia.

Hola Eva Se trata de otra especie mas comun, para que fuera la Vespa mandarina tendria que tener una cara mucho mas amarillenta, si te fijas bien se trata de la especie que te indico ya que esta es autoctona. Un abrazo
