Field Notes

Description:

Big... Body about 3" long. Wings were rudimentary, rendering it flightless.

Gets around mainly by walking and jumping. Docile- I easily scooped this lady up and held her for quite a while.

Habitat:

Found only in the southern states. This was in an overgrown oak scrub in the Ocala National Forest.
