Description:

The name of the coquí churí arises of its voice, since seems that says "chu-rí". Has another voice that consists of various "quí" repeated quickly. This species is common in urban areas and pasturelands. It can be found since the plains to the mountains, but does not arrive at the highest peaks.

This coquí has several characteristics that distinguish it from other species. The top of the eyes is red, while that of the other coquies is of brown or white color. Another unique characteristic of the coqui churi is a marble boss in the thighs. The size is similar al of the coquí common, 25 mm (1") the male and 30 mm (1.2") the females.
