Field Notes

Description:

A pair of shorebirds called "Yellowlegs," either Greater or Lesser, spotted at a great distance from the observation deck at the terminus of the Great Marsh Trail, Mason Neck Wildlife Refuge. I am inclined to think these two birds are Lesser Yellowlegs. Anyone care to comment on my tentative ID? Related Resource: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Lesser_Yellowlegs/id/ac

Habitat:

Mason Neck Wildlife Refuge, Fairfax County, Virginia USA. Related Resource: http://www.fws.gov/masonneck/opportunities.html
