Description:

heavy in blooms this spring; tubular 2 inch clusters of reddish orange flowers with yellow center; opposite leaves are usually 4-6 inches long and 2 inches wide and are glossy dark green in summer and more reddish after frost; kept leaves during the winter

Habitat:

full sun, clay soil, grown to top (40 feet) of light pole on urban school yard campus
