Field Notes

Description:

Appears like a Slug Moth. Has large eyes. Hairy body and limbs. Multi-coloured. It keeps its hairy abdomen raised. Span-head to wingtip: 65mm

Notes:

For ease of viewing I've turned the no. 1 photo downside up - it was actually dangling from the ceiling (photos 2 and 3). I'd planned for better day-light photos, but by the morning it was gone!
Now it's looking a porcupine!
