Field Notes

Description:

A mostly orange butterfly with pale black markings. The Cruiser (Vindula arsinoe) is a day butterfly from the family Nymphalidae.

Habitat:

Butterfly house in the Melbourne zoo

Notes:

This could be a ommon Leopard, Phalanta phalantha, although the balack markings are not so prominent. Maybe a female? Or one of the other Phalanta species?
