Description:

This is one of several similar coreid bugs. As a male it has thickened hind legs and femoral spikes. They can spray mildly pungent chemical to discourage predators. The young instars are very colorful

Habitat:

On tips of gum trees.

Notes:

This specimen is rather more shiny than expected but it was spotted in the rain.
