Field Notes

Description:

Upper two petals are larger and purplish-blue. Lower petal is smaller and transparent. Leaves are stalkless. Leaf sheath usually has long hairs. Leaf blade is lance-shaped.

Habitat:

Forests on mountain slopes.

Notes:

Commelina undulata (Syn. C.striata, C.longifolia, C.kurzii) (Family: Commelinaceae)
