Field Notes

Description:

These were closed buds when I arrived and they open when the sun appears. I think they should be called sleepy heads.
The slender sun orchid is the stem on the left.
The spotted sun orchid is on the right.

Habitat:

Nature reserve.

Thanks Ernst. I leaned one stem over to shoot them side by side as the larger spotted one apparently does not necessarily have spots.
