Bonnet macaque

Macaca radiata

Hi Ashok! I suggest that due to the geographical distribution and the cap-like whirl of hair radiating outward from the centre of the head, this is a bonnet macaque and not a rhesus macaque.
especially like the second photo!
Interesting fact of the day: The Rhesus have been attacking people (even caused accidental death in the case of a mayor) and acting as a horrible nuisance to the public. The interesting thing is Langurs were able to be trained to help keep them under control in the city during events. http://www.britannica.com/blogs/2009/08/monkeys-on-the-rampage-in-india/
Very nice...not an iota doubt that they are our ancestors
