Description:
Tiny...may be an inch long. The exact colour of the sandy bottom of the sea and with grains of sand adhering to its body. Body flattened, worm-like. Forked antennae on head.
Habitat:
Moving leisurely in the thin streams of water left behind as the sea receded. Once we saw one, we realized there were many of these...each alone exploring...feeding...moving on.
Notes:
Even if I had a better camera I think photographing this from the air while it was underwater would have been difficult. It has no colour to speak of...we spotted it only because we were looking (for whatever we could see before the tide came in) and because it was moving.
I have seen colourful ones on Nat Geo...but was equaly thrilled to spot this one.
