Field Notes

Description:

A young man was attracting the gulls by throwing out some kind of crackers; upon looking at the cropped photos, it appeared he was feeding them some kind of bright orange fast-food crackers - not nutritious for birds, I'm sure, but the gulls seemed very anxious to snag a piece. So humans and laughing gulls can both be fast-food junkies.

Habitat:

Topsail Island
