Description:

*Laughing gulls during the mating season have a black head with a red beak
* during the winter they have a white head with dark and light gray splotches
*juvinials have a brown and tan color to their feathers
*Laughing Gulls had gotten their name due to their call which sounds like someone laughing
*Traditionally Laughing Gulls eat mollusks , fish , squid , crabs , and insects. But around humans they are scavangers and wont hesitate to run off with your burger and fries.

Habitat:

* Laughing Gulls live in the costal regions

Notes:

When I took this photo I was on the Pleasure Pier on Galveston Island. They came and swarmed the window area that my friends and I sat at , so many had swarmed at one time that we thought out clear sunny skys had became a stormy nightmare. The Laughing Gulls are definitely not afraid of humans at all , as one of my friends had tried to shoo them off, one just simply swooped and stole a fry right out of her hand. I now think she has a fear of these birds.
