Field Notes

Description:

This spider has mostly black on its top and yellow on its sides. When I found her, her front 4 legs were in pairs of to, and her back 4 were spread out more evenly. This spider is a female, as the male ones are more predominately brown. Also, this spider is rather skinny for a female, but that's probably due to her young age.

Habitat:

I found this spider about 8 inches above the ground, between a couple small plants. The air was dryer, and it hadn't rained for a few days, so this spider was comfortable in the small wooded area it was in.
