Field Notes

Description:

A very leggy open shrub with leaves layered along the stems and clusters of small yellow flowers at the outer ends. Shrub was about 1.4 metres tall, same wide, each flower was about 12mm across.

Habitat:

In a dry sclerophyll forest dominated by silver leafed stringybark eucalyptus. Baluk William Flora Reserve.

Notes:

P. flava subsp. flava (Yellow Rice-flower) has a yellow flower. Also P. flava subsp. dichotoma (Diosma Rice-flower) has a white flower <br>
