Field Notes

Notes:

This caterpillar was in this silk-made tunnel. It seemed to be laying on its back, but it is very hard to be sure about that.

Not yet, Argybee. I went back there yesterday, but the time changed, and I got out. (summer rains come by with strong winds, wich are a major issue when you are in a wooded area here. Araucarias tend to easily loose its branches, and each one can weight up to 40 kg / 100 pounds. Not a healthy place to be, you see).
I just noticed the blue inside. Any luck re-finding this one Asergio?
Hope you find it again; it would be interesting to see what happens next.
Argybee, I'll try to go back there tomorrow, to see what happened.
Cool spot asergio. I wonder if it is finished making it's shelter. It's certainly a chaotic method for joining the leaves. It would be nice to see a shot of the whole thing for perspective.
