Field Notes

Description:

Spring leaves, very big, up to 35cm. long and 14cm. broad, elliptic, with strong parallel grooves.

Habitat:

Grassy slopes, olive groves in middle and lower montane zone.

Notes:

Endemic Crete, E. Aegean & SW. Turkey. Limited distribution on Crete, not common.
