Field Notes

Description:

Restlessly flitting bird that perched for a moment only because of the rain. A beautiful medley of coloured feathers ranging from the white on the breast to rust on the chin and blue-black on the back and wings. Strongly forked tail in flight. White vent seen in flight.

Habitat:

Eco-resort on Havelock Island.

Notes:

To me it looked like any other Barn swallow...but apparently Andaman has its own too.
