Field Notes

Description:

The only native crayfish in BC.

Habitat:

Generally in freshwater habitats; this find is somewhat unusual as this was from the lower (tidal) Fraser River where the water can be brackish from marine influence, especially during incoming tides.

Notes:

Snagged unintentionally while bar fishing for salmonids.
