Description:

This is a very large gull whose underparts are pure white and top of wings and back are dark to black. The bill is heavy with a red spot on the lower mandible. Legs are a pale pink.

Habitat:

North Atlantic shorelines, but they are making their way westward to the Great Lakes in North America.
